Strathdon Press is a small, cottage-hobby undertaking, that expresses our love for books and family-oriented crafting. Books offer a fascinating look into the souls of people, and I absolutely love reading books. My reading style is somewhat strange, so I am told, and, at any given time, there is a stack of up to ten books on my reading stand that I am in the process of reading.
I am also fascinated by traditional binding methods, and spend a lot of my free time learning different techniques and methods of book binding. The beauty of traditional binding techniques and methods never ceases to leave me in awe.
Combining my love for books and my fascination with binding techniques, together with a quirky interest in all things miniature, I have developed my hobby of publishing and hand making miniature books, for gifting and for collecting.
When I acquired a cardstock cutting machine to help with some of the more intricate design and cutout work for my book covers, I realized that the cutting machine spent a lot of its time gathering dust on the shelf, so we have begun to grow our range of crafting cutouts to keep the machine busy when I am not using it.

Here at Strathdon Press, we honour the written word, and we would love to share that passion with you. We have developed a few distinct ways of sharing that passion with you. Limited Miniature Series
Our Limited Miniature Series of books are all hand crafted, hand stitched, with hand sewn headbands, and finished with hand made hard covers. These beautiful miniature books measure 80×60 mm, and contain the full text of each book, not just an edited or shortened version. The text is understandably small, but is easily readable with our specially adapted miniature fonts.
These miniatures are lovingly made in limited numbers, with each book displaying its own unique serial number in the series.
These miniatures are also available from time to time in box sets, including the complete works of a particular author, or a collection of significant works presented as a box set.
Matchbox Miniature Series
We have developed this gorgeous range of miniature books as a collector’s range. Each book measures 50x40mm (about the size of a matchbox), and also contains the complete text of each book, and not just an overview.
Lovingly hand sewn and crafted, this makes a stunning and unique gift, or a valuable addition to your miniature book collection.
eBooks
We regularly add titles to our range of ebooks, concentrating on many of the classics. These classics have all stood the test of time, and offer a treasure trove of delightful reading and relaxation.
Royal Reader Series
Legend has it that, in past centuries, as the royals travelled, they of necessity had a huge amount of luggage to transport, with limited space for everything. A range of books (not miniatures) was developed, but books small enough to fit into a coat pocket for the royal children to read.
Our Royal Reader range of books measures 135x90mm, and easily fits into your coat pocket for easy reading on your train journey, in the car, or when you are relaxing at the end of a long day.
Each book is hand crafted, hand stitched, with hand sewn headbands.
All books contain the full text for each book, and each book is hand made and sewn for you to enjoy and treasure.

Crafting
Crafting supplies are always in demand, but so often the prices of these supplies can be prohibitive. We seek to grow our range of crafting supplies, and to keep prices affordable, so you don’t have to break the bank every time you start a new project.
We have recently launched our Crafting department here at Strathdon Press. Our stock of crafting cutouts is growing, so keep coming back to see what new products we have.
Overlays
Our stock of overlays is based on a standard 12×12 inch (30x30cm) layout. We use a standard cardstock range, but are happy to chat with you if you have a special project need.
Frames
Our frame stock also uses a standard cardstock range. Our design stock grows by the day. Frame stock includes photo frames, film strip frames, standard circle, oval, square and rectangle frames.

Lettering
Lettering is packed in either Upper- or Lower Case lettering, at affordable prices, using our standard cardstock range. We are also developing a range of self adhesive lettering, using either matt or glossy sticker paper.
